Beyond the screen, I find solace in the beauty of nature. As an avid backcountry camper and portager, Algonquin has been a yearly trip I plan for my family. I thrive on the challenge of navigating rugged terrain, setting up camp under the stars, and immersing myself in the wilderness. Just as I meticulously debug code, I meticulously plan and execute my outdoor adventures.

I was lucky enough to have served in the best infantry regiment (2 RCR) of the Canadian Armed Forces, where I honed my skills in technical equipment, problem-solving, and being able to thrive under pressure. I became the signaller in my platoon, handling and solving most of the tech and communication related problems in LAV's and on foot.   After serving in the military, I found myself craving a new challenge that would also allow me to be closer to my family, Transitioning to a career in computer science was a easy decision to make with the dynamic nature of the field offers constant opportunities for growth and problem-solving.

As a father, I've embraced the challenge of pursuing higher education, encouraging my children's curiosity for programming while I learned. Juggling coursework and family responsibilities has honed my time management and multitasking skills, preparing me for the dynamic world of computer science. Together with my children, we've delved into the world of coding, turning learning moments into memories. Now, as I transition from student to professional, and having my experiences as both a father and a student, I am looking forward to contributing the field of programming.
